Flooding at the Railway Bridge

After months of pushing for action, the Parish Council has finally received the following update from Surrey County Council on what they intend to do to resolve the ongoing flooding issue at the railway bridge on The Street, West Horsley.  

"Earlier this month the team directed the Drainage Investigation Gang accompanied by the High Powered Jetting machine to investigate but unfortunately they were not able to resolve the issues and so this will require more in depth works. The team believe that the problems here may be being caused by roots and have now requested a quote from our appointed contractor to supply a CCTV Crew to survey the system and confirm, this will then allow them to follow up with the necessary repair work."

The Council will continue to pursue SCC until this matter has been resolved.
