The
Village Hall is situated in the centre of the village and is a well-maintained,
clean, multi-purpose community facility with three separate rooms for hire.
The hall is available for hire by groups and individuals, either on a regular basis or for one-off bookings. It works particularly well for children’s parties with the well-used playground right next door. The playground is designed for younger children (13 and under), is safely fenced and has seating for parents/carers.
There are two halls in the complex, joined by an internal foyer. The larger Main Hall was built in 1924 with a major extension in the 1960s and the medium-sized Cedar Room in the 1960s. Both have a modern kitchen and cloakroom facilities, as well as access for the disabled. There is also a small room (The Rubin Room), suitable for 12-16 people for a meeting, small class or a 1-2-1 tuition session.
Currently, WHVH is used for Ballet, Ballroom Dancing, Brownies, Circuit Training, Pilates, Seated Exercise, Yoga, Zumba Gold and many other classes and groups. The WHIPS drama group holds several productions each year, catering for all ages. The Parish Council, WI and Horsley Garden Society hold regular meetings at the hall, as do many other local groups.
The Village Hall is operated under a Deed of Trust and is run by a voluntary Management Committee, most of whom are largely drawn from the regular hirers of the Village Hall. The Parish Council appoints one member of the Management Committee. The day-to-day running of the Village Hall is taken care of by the Manager.

The website includes an online diary and booking system (on the “Availability/Online Diary” page) so you can always see what is free and when, even when the office is closed.
The Manager can be contacted at whvhbooking@gmail.com or on 01483 285454.
Please do not contact West Horsley Parish Clerk in relation to Village Hall bookings or the playground as WHPC does not look after the bookings diary for the hall or have responsibility for the playground.
