Roadworks/Closures: M25 Junc 10/A3 w/c Monday 13 January

We are writing to let you know about the upcoming closures for week commencing Monday 13 January 2025.
Please consider these closures when planning your journey.
Our overnight closures usually start from 10pm and finish by 5.30am Monday to Thursday, and from 11pm Friday to finish by 6am on Saturday. These times can vary depending on the volume of traffic and when we can close the road safely.
Monday 13 January 2025: overnight lane 1 closure on M25 in both directions
Lane 1 of the M25 will be closed in both directions through junction 10, from 10pm on Monday 13 January to 5:30am on Tuesday 14 January. This is a lane closure only, so you will be able to remain on the M25 to travel through junction 10.
Tuesday 14 January 2025: overnight lane 1 closure on the westbound (clockwise) M25
Lane 1 of the westbound (clockwise) M25 will be closed through junction 10, from 10pm on Tuesday 14 January to 5:30am on Wednesday 15 January. This is a lane closure only, so you will be able to remain on the M25 to travel through junction 10.
Wednesday 15 January 2025: overnight lane 1 closure on the eastbound (anticlockwise) M25
Lane 1 of the eastbound (anticlockwise) M25 will be closed through junction 10, from 10pm on Wednesday 15 January to 5:30am on Thursday 16 January. This is a lane closure only, so you will be able to remain on the M25 to travel through junction 10.
Thursday 16 January 2025: overnight southbound A3 closure
For one night, from 10pm on Thursday 16 January to 5:30am on Friday 17 January, the southbound A3 carriageway will be closed between the M25 Junction 10 and the A247 at Send.
Diversion: Traffic will be diverted via the eastbound M25 to junction 9, then southbound via the A243, to continue onto the A24 to Givons Grove roundabout and join the A246 westbound, then turn northbound on the A247 and re-join the A3 at Send.
Thursday 16 January 2025: overnight lane closure on the northbound A3
Lane 1 of the northbound A3 will be closed between the A247 at Send and the M25 Junction 10, from 10pm on Thursday 16 January to 5:30 Friday 17 January. This is a lane closure only, so you will be able to remain on the northbound A3 between Send and Junction 10.
Friday 17 January to Monday 20 January 2025: full weekend closure of the A3 in both directions
The A3 will be closed in both directions between the junction 10 interchange and the B2215/A247 at Send, from 9pm on Friday 17 January to 6am on Monday 20 January. This is to enable the installation of the Cockcrow bridge, the UK’s first heathland bridge.
As part of this closure, Wisley Lane will be closed between the entrance to RHS Wisley and the Wrens Nest car park, and Guileshill Lane will be closed northbound only at the junction with Ripley Lane.
Diversions
- Southbound A3 main diversion: via eastbound (anticlockwise) M25 to junction 9, A243, A246, A247 to rejoin the southbound A3.
- Southbound A3 non-motorway diversion: via northbound A3, A245, A307, A309, A243, A246, A247 to rejoin the southbound A3.
- Northbound A3 main diversion: via B2215, A247, A246, A24, A243, join westbound (clockwise) M25 at junction 9, rejoin northbound A3 at junction 10.
- Northbound A3 non-motorway diversion: via B2215, A247, A246, A24, A243, A307, A245 to rejoin the northbound A3 at the Painshill junction.
- Wisley Lane diversion (both directions): via Portsmouth Road (B2215), Newark Lane (B367), Warren Lane, Pyford Road, Lock Lane, to rejoin Wisley Lane.
- Guileshill Lane diversion: Ripley Lane, Pincott Lane, The Street, Ockham Road North (B2039)
All of our works coincide with other ongoing improvements on our network including the installation of additional emergency areas on the M25 J23-27, M25 J5-7, M4 J10-12, M3 J2-4a and M20 J3-5. More information about these works can be found here.
