Bonfires

Published: 14 April 2020

Please follow Surrey County Council's advice and avoid lighting a bonfire during the current situation:

All of Surrey's 15 Community recycling remain closed in accordance with current government advice.

Residents are asked not to get rid of any waste by having bonfires during the current situation as they can cause air pollution, create smoke and prevent residents from being in their gardens. Bonfires can also be a health risk to those with respiratory problems.

Residents with excess waste should hold onto it to prevent waste and recycling collection services from becoming overwhelmed.
