Public Consultation - Community Governance Review

Community Governance Review (CGR)
On 15th December West Horsley Parish Council (WHPC) wrote to Guildford Borough Council (GBC) to formally request that it conduct a community governance review to increase the number of parish councillors from nine to eleven. The main reasons given for this increase were:
- to reduce the workload that has grown considerably over the past 24 months, and which is expected to continue to increase;
- to address the substantial increase in population as a result of windfall and major housing developments underway in the village as a consequence of GBC's Local Plan;
- to seek to improve diversity on the Parish Council.
