Roadworks/Closures: M25 Junc 10/A3 w/c Monday 31 March

National Highways advise:

We are writing to let you know about the upcoming closures for week commencing Monday 31 March 2025 and to remind you of the two overnight closures of the M25 this weekend.

Please consider the below closures when planning your journey.

Our overnight closures usually start from 10pm and finish by 5.30am Monday to Thursday, and from 11pm Friday to finish by 6am on Saturday. These times can vary depending on the volume of traffic and when we can close the road safely.

Friday 28 and Saturday 29 March 2025: overnight closures of the M25 between junctions 9 and 10

For two nights, the M25 will be closed in both directions between junctions 9 and 10 to facilitate gantry installation and technology works. The closures will be in place from:

9pm Friday 28 March to 6am Saturday 29 March 2025
9pm Saturday 29 March to 6am Sunday 30 March 2025

Diversion routes:

Eastbound (anticlockwise): traffic will be diverted off the M25 at junction 10 to the northbound A3, then via the A245, the A307, the A309, and the A243 to rejoin the M25 at junction 9.
Westbound (clockwise): traffic will be diverted off the M25 at junction 8, to join the A217 to travel via the A240, the A24 and the A240 to Tolworth, where they will then join the southbound A3 to rejoin the M25 at junction 10.
Over height vehicles will be diverted off the M25 at junction 9 to travel north on the A243 to the A3 Hook Junction, to join the A309, then the A307, the A245, then the A245 to the A3 Painshill junction where they will then join the southbound A3 to rejoin the M25 at junction 10.
Access to Cobham Services will be maintained for employees and hotel guests only.

Monday 31 March to Thursday 3 April March 2025: overnight northbound A3 exit slip closures at Painshill

For four nights, the northbound A3 exit slip road at Painshill will be closed to complete kerbing repairs. The closures will be in place from:

10pm to 5.30am on the nights of Monday 31 March to Thursday 3 April 2025

Diversion: traffic on the northbound A3 wishing to exit at Painshill will be directed to remain on the northbound A3 to the Esher roundabout to return on the southbound A3 where they can then exit at Painshill.
Monday 31 March, Tuesday 1 April and Thursday 3 April 2025: overnight closures of the northbound A3
For three nights, the northbound A3 will be closed between the B2215 at Send and the M25 junction 10. This is to continue work on the widening of the northbound A3. The closures will be in place from:
10pm on Monday 31 March until 5.30am on Tuesday 1 April 2025
10pm on Tuesday 1 April until 5.30am on Wednesday 2 April 2025
10pm on Thursday 3 April until 5.30am on Friday 4 April 2025
Diversion: Traffic will be diverted via the B2215, A247, A246, A24, A243, to then join the westbound (clockwise) M25 at junction 9, to rejoin northbound A3 at junction 10.
Monday 31 March to Thursday 3 April 2025: overnight M25 lane closures
For four nights, there will be lane closures in both directions on the M25 between junctions 9 and 11 to carry out technology works. The M25 will remain open. The lane closures will be in place from:
10pm to 5.30am on each night Monday 31 March to Thursday 3 April 2025
Thursday 3 April and Friday 4 April 2025: overnight closures of the southbound A3
For two nights, the southbound A3 will be closed between the M25 junction 10 and the B2215 at Send to allow surfacing works to continue. The closures will be in place from:
10pm on Thursday 3 April until 5.30am on Friday 4 April 2025
11pm on Friday 4 April until 6am on Saturday 5 April 2025
Diversion: Traffic will be diverted via the anticlockwise (eastbound) M25 to junction 9, then via the A243, A24, A246, A247 to re-join the southbound A3 at the Send interchange.
