Roadworks/Closures: M25 Junc 10/A3 w/c Monday 5 May

We are writing to let you know about the upcoming closures for week commencing Monday 5 May 2025.
Please consider the below closures when planning your journey.

Our overnight closures usually start from 10pm and finish by 5.30am Monday to Thursday, and from 11pm Friday to finish by 6am on Saturday. These times can vary depending on the volume of traffic and when we can close the road safely.
Tuesday 6 May to Thursday 8 May 2025: overnight lane closures on the M25 junction 10 gyratory
For three nights, there will be lane closures on the M25 junction 10 gyratory to carry out resurfacing & technology works. The gyratory will remain open. The lane closures will be in place from:
10pm to 5.30am on each night from Tuesday 6 May to Thursday 8 May 2025

Tuesday 6 May 2025: overnight closures of the A3 in both directions
For one night, the A3 will be closed in both directions between the M25 junction 10 and the B2215 at Send to complete the final contraflow set up. Access for staff to the BP garages and other local services will be maintained during this closure. The closure will be in place from:
10pm on Tuesday 6 May until 5.30am on Wednesday 7 May 2025

Southbound A3 diversion: Traffic will be diverted via the anticlockwise (eastbound) M25 to junction 9, then via the A243, A24, A246, A247 to re-join the southbound A3 at the Send interchange.
Northbound A3 diversion: Traffic will be diverted via the B2215, A247, A246, A24, A243, to then join the westbound (clockwise) M25 at junction 9, to rejoin northbound A3 at junction 10.
Wednesday 7 May and Thursday 8 May 2025: overnight A3 lane closures
For two nights, there will be lane closures in both directions on the A3 will be closed in both directions between the M25 junction 10 and Ripley to allow barrier works to be completed. The A3 will remain open. The lane closures will be in place from:
10pm to 5.30am on Wednesday 7 May and Thursday 8 May 2025
Thursday 8 May to Sunday 11 May 2025: overnight M25 lane closures
For four nights, there will be lane closures on the clockwise (westbound) M25 between junctions 9 and 11 to carry out technology works. The M25 will remain open. The lane closures will be in place from:
10pm on Thursday 8 May until 5.30am on Friday 9 May 2025
11pm on Friday 9 May until 6am on Saturday 10 May 2025
10pm until 5.30am on Saturday 10 May and Sunday 11 May 2025
Friday 9 May to Monday 12 May: weekend slip road closures
For one full weekend, we’ll be closing both the northbound A3 exit slip road, and the clockwise (westbound) M25 entry slip road to carry out surfacing, barrier and technology works. There will also be lane closures on the southern side of the gyratory. The closure will be in place from:
9pm on Friday 9 May to 6am Monday 12 May 2025.
Available movements
During this closure, you won’t be able to leave the northbound A3 or enter the clockwise (westbound) M25 entry at junction 10; however, the A3 and M25 will remain open, as will all other slip roads, and the possible movements through the gyratory will be:
You will still be able to leave the clockwise (westbound) M25 to join the A3 in either direction.
You will still be able to leave the anticlockwise (eastbound) M25 to join the A3 in either direction.
You will be able to leave the southbound A3 to join the anticlockwise (eastbound) M25.
Diversion routes:
Northbound A3 to M25 (either direction)
Traffic will be diverted up to the Painshill exit to return on the southbound A3 where they can exit at junction 10.
Entry to the clockwise (westbound) M25
Traffic will be diverted onto the anticlockwise (eastbound) M25 to travel to junction 9 to then return on the clockwise (westbound) M25.
Friday 9 May to Saturday 10 May: extended overnight closure of southbound A3 exit slip at Ockham
For one night there will be lane closures on the southbound A3 between the M25 junction 10 and the Ockham Park roundabout. We will also be closing the southbound A3 exit slip road at Ockham Park roundabout. This is facilitate the installation of a new Gantry. The closure will be in place from:
9pm on Friday 9 May until 9am on Saturday 10 May 2025
*Diversion:*** traffic will be directed to continue on the southbound A3 to Burpham (A3100)/Clay Lane to return on the northbound A3 to leave the A3 at the Send interchange
